Easter at Lakeside 2017!

Some invites can be life changing.

We are in the prime time of the year where people are most receptive to responding positively when you invite them to church.

Over 80% of your friends who are not Christian or do not attend church regularly are more open to respond favorably to your invitation to church for Easter Sunday. The beginning of the journey for people who don’t know God starts right now with you- God can use your invitation to radically transform a life.

100% of the people you don’t invite will not attend, but a high percentage of those you do invite will respond positively and gratefully, and will attend! Still nervous about inviting friends, family, and coworkers to Easter services at Lakeside? Here are some helpful hints!

Take some practical steps towards inviting your friends to Easter at Lakeside Christian:

1. Pray for people by name each day. I guarantee that as you have read this Easter article, one or two names of friends or family who don’t know Jesus has flitted through your mind. Pray for each of these people, trusting that God is already at work in their lives. Ask Him to soften their hearts and to embolden yours.

2. Share a meal or a cup of coffee with your friend and give them an invite during or afterwards. Or, if you’re feeling really brave, have a family over for a meal in your home and invite them. Serve your friends and family well!

3. Offer to pick them up to ride together to church on Easter Sunday. Or offer to meet them in the parking lot so that you can walk in with them and sit together.

4. Talk about Easter at Lakeside Christian on Facebook and Twitter! Aim for at least one status update a week that includes an invite and a link to the Lakeside Christian website.

5. Walk through your neighborhood, praying and being mindful of opportunities. Invite some people that you see who are out working in the yard, playing outside, out for a walk, etc.

6. Keep some invites on your desk, your coffee table, and your car console where people will see them and begin to ask questions. That leads to natural conversation and an opportunity to invite!

7. Be Bold. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your words, to give you courage, and respond in sensitivity to His leading. You have the Spirit of the Living God on your side- you can do this!

Easter is a time of reflection, remembrance, and celebration. We want all of you and your friends and family to join us at Lakeside as we reflect on the sacrifice of our savior Jesus Christ and celebrate the new life we have in His resurrection! All our services preach relevant messages, worship with high-energy music, and provide childcare for all three service times.
