What an exciting week at Lakeside! Leading up to Easter, over 60 volunteers helped us transform our building into a thoughtful and reflective walk through the last hours of Jesus life. Over the three evenings of our Journey to the Cross event, over 500 people took the journey and reflected on Jesus gift of life for all who would believe. Our newly lit cross windows added to the ambiance for this event and for all passing by. In addition, our children and adults contributed $1,726 to our 30 Pieces of Silver offering to help Lake Springfield Christian Assembly purchase property to further their ministry capabilities. During the week leading up to Easter volunteers and our friends from Copper Tree Landscaping and Fencing installed landscaping including a water feature around our new entry sign off of Toronto. Finally, on Easter Sunday, 671 people gathered to hear the good news of Jesus life, death and resurrection and we were delighted to witness a baptism into new life in Christ. Even with such a large number of worshipers attending services, our new parking lot addition made it unnecessary for us to shuttle parking to and from our neighbor's parking lot.
